Senior Data Platform Engineer

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension). Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands. Salary: Not a constraint for the right candidate! Experience: 6-8 years. Hybrid: 2 days Work from Home 3 days Work from Office Your Profile & DNA: We are looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to join our team and help design and deliver scalable, cloud-native data and platform solutions. You’ll work across GCP, data engineering, APIs, event-driven architecture, and GenAI, while collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to provide technical leadership and mentor other engineers. Qualification & Experience A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.5+ Strong experience designing and delivering cloud-native data or platform solutions.Extensive hands-on experience with GCP, particularly BigQuery, Cloud Run, IAM and monitoring.Advanced Python and SQL skills and experience with REST APIs and OAuth 2.0.Strong knowledge of BPMN 2.0 and event-driven architectures.Experience with GenAI applications, preferably using Vertex AI or LangChain, including RAG.Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.Experience mentoring developers and taking technical ownership. Nice to have Experience with Collibra, Flowable Engine and Groovy.Experience integrating Collibra with GCP/Dataplex.Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, PCI and zero-trust IAM.Experience with Secret Manager or HashiCorp Vault, Model Context Protocol (MCP).
