The ideal candidate will have strong experience in deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters both on-prem and in the public cloud, along with a solid understanding of cloud and bare-metal infrastructure. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are essential. Responsibilities Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters across various environmentsMonitor and optimize the performance of containerized applicationsImplement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deploymentTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes and container orchestrationCollaborate with development teams to design scalable and reliable applicationsEnsure security and compliance within Kubernetes environmentsAutomate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform or AnsibleConduct regular system audits and performance tuningDevelop and maintain documentation for Kubernetes configurations and processesStay updated with the latest Kubernetes features and best practices to continuously improve the infrastructure Nice-To-Have Certifications CNCF Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert Education And Experience Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldProven experience with Kubernetes and container orchestrationStrong knowledge of Docker and containerization technologiesThree years of proven experience with Azure and its Kubernetes serviceProficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automationFamiliarity with CI/CD tools (e.g, Jenkins, GitLab)Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong technical communication and collaboration skills The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods program (CGP) At Telesat, we take pride in being an equal opportunity employer that values equality in the workplace.
