Software Systems Engineer

Software Systems Engineer | Bridgend, South Wales Pearson Carter are currently working with an innovative and successful privately owned SME who design and manufacture hi-tech capital equipment for worldwide export. They are looking to expand their team with a strong Software Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the design, development and maintenance of software and control systems across existing and future projects. Responsibilities: Analyse software requirements and work closely with product development and production teamsDesign and develop software to meet specified system requirementsPrepare test plans, procedures and technical documentationSupport system installations at customer sites around the worldInvestigate and resolve system issues across design, coding, testing and acceptanceImplement bug fixes, system modifications and software enhancementsProvide technical training and support to internal personnelSupport the Software Systems Manager with core systems and legacy software Experience: 5+ years of software development experienceStrong experience with VB.NET within an engineering environmentHND / Degree level qualification, preferably in Computer Science or MathematicsExperience or an interest in machine/motion control software and hardware interactionExperience with laser control or PLCs would be desirable but is not essentialStrong communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders Salary: The client has not stated a specific budget for this role.
