We’re working with a leading Australian technology organisation that is continuing to invest heavily in its product engineering capabilities and is looking for a Senior Engineer to join an established product team. This is an opportunity to join during an exciting period of engineering change, with a significant product evolution program underway and plenty of scope to influence the technology, architecture and engineering practices moving forward. The Opportunity You’ll join a collaborative engineering team working across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through to deployment, production support and continuous improvement. While the team has strong front-end capability, they are looking to strengthen their backend and DevOps expertise. You’ll become an important technical contributor across: Backend development using Node.jsTypeScript and JavaScript developmentReact and modern front-end technologiesAPI development and integrationsMicroservices and distributed systemsAWS cloud services and deploymentsCI/CD and automated deployment pipelinesInfrastructure automationProduction support and troubleshootingAutomated testing and software qualitySystem design, scalability and resilienceTechnical mentoring and knowledge sharing What You'll Bring We're looking for an experienced software engineer who enjoys taking ownership and working across the engineering lifecycle. You'll ideally have: Strong commercial software engineering experienceStrong Node.js / backend development experienceExperience with TypeScript and JavaScriptExperience with ReactStrong API development experience, including REST and/or GraphQLHands-on AWS experienceStrong DevOps / CI/CD experienceExperience with infrastructure-as-code, ideally TerraformExperience with Docker and cloud deployment technologiesExperience designing and working with microservicesStrong automated testing practicesExperience supporting and troubleshooting production applicationsAn understanding of secure, scalable and resilient software architectureExperience with Python would be beneficial.
