Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Build the platform powering the future of virtual fencing. We're looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to help scale the technology behind one of the world's most exciting AgTech platforms. eShepherd is transforming livestock management through virtual fencing technology. With deployments across 20+ countries and rapid growth throughout North America, we're building a platform that must perform at scale, across regions, and in some of the world's most challenging environments. You'll help shape the future architecture of a rapidly growing IoT platform, tackling challenges across: Cloud infrastructure and AWS scalabilityDatabase performance and optimisationPlatform reliability and observabilityDevOps, CI/CD and automationMulti-region deploymentsCapacity planning and future architectureGlobal platform growthYou'll be the North American engineering presence, partnering closely with our R&D teams in New Zealand and Australia while supporting a platform used by farmers and ranchers around the world. What we're looking for Strong AWS infrastructure experience (ECS, EKS, RDS)Deep MySQL and database optimisation expertiseDevOps and Infrastructure as Code experiencePerformance tuning, monitoring and incident response capabilityExperience supporting production systems at scaleStrong communication skills and the ability to work across time zonesCuriosity, initiative and a data-driven approach to problem solving Why join eShepherd?
