About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Lead AI DevOps Engineer to join our Data Science & AI Competency Center. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the design, deployment, and operational management of advanced AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI solutions. Your primary focus will be on integrating large language models (LLMs) and small language models (SLMs) into enterprise applications, ensuring these solutions are secure, scalable, and efficient. You will act as a senior technical leader, guiding cross-functional teams, driving automation initiatives, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to align AI engineering efforts with business goals. This role requires a blend of cloud engineering expertise, automation proficiency, and hands-on leadership. You will be responsible for architecting cloud infrastructures, managing CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring engineering teams to promote best practices and innovative approaches in GenAI adoption. Your contributions will directly influence the successful delivery of scalable, secure, and cost-optimized AI solutions that meet enterprise standards and client expectations. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related fields, with a proven track record in AI/ML/GenAI projects.Extensive experience deploying and managing LLMs/SLMs, including model serving, inference optimization, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and GenAI applications.Proficiency in Linux and macOS system administration; familiarity with Windows environments is advantageous.Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, and PowerShell for automation and integration tasks.Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.Strong expertise in Azure cloud services, Kubernetes, and enterprise AI/ML platforms.Proven ability to design and deliver secure, production-ready AI/ML/GenAI solutions.Knowledge of monitoring, observability, and FinOps practices to optimize operational costs and ensure compliance.Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills to foster a collaborative team environment.Fluency in written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively. Responsibilities Lead the architecture, deployment, and management of AI/ML/GenAI solutions at scale, ensuring high performance and security.Drive automation of infrastructure provisioning, model lifecycle management, and inference pipelines to improve efficiency and reliability.Oversee CI/CD processes for AI workloads, ensuring seamless integration, testing, and deployment.Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructures primarily on Azure, aligning with best practices and compliance standards.Act as a technical advisor for stakeholders and clients, translating business needs into robust AI solutions.Mentor and guide engineering teams, promoting best practices, continuous learning, and innovation in GenAI adoption.Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure AI projects align with overall business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.Monitor system performance, implement observability strategies, and optimize operational costs through FinOps practices.Ensure adherence to security standards, compliance regulations, and cost management policies across all AI/ML environments.
