Senior .NET Developer

About the role We are seeking experienced .NET Developers to support the ongoing sustainment, enhancement and delivery of critical business applications and priority ICT initiatives. The successful candidates will work across full-stack application development, leveraging Microsoft .NET, Vue.js, TypeScript and Azure technologies across on-premises and cloud environments. These roles will contribute to both business-as-usual activities and strategic technology initiatives, ensuring reliable, secure and high-quality digital services. The ideal candidates will have strong full-stack development experience, a proven track record working in Agile delivery environments, and the ability to manage multiple high-priority work items in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, enhance and maintain full-stack applications using Microsoft .NET and Vue.js.Develop modern web applications using JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks, with particular emphasis on Vue.js.Design and implement software solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.Develop secure, scalable and maintainable applications aligned with enterprise architecture and security standards.Apply secure development practices, including the least privilege principle, OWASP guidance and relevant security controls.Establish and manage source code repositories and development workflows.Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing and deployment.Utilise Azure DevOps for source control, work management, task governance, build and release processes.Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.Manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.Collaborate with business analysts, architects, testers, project teams and other technical specialists.Provide technical guidance and contribute to solution design and development standards.Troubleshoot complex technical issues and identify effective, sustainable solutions.Contribute to technical documentation, code quality, testing and application support activities.Highly desirable criteria 5+ years of demonstrated experience in Microsoft .NET development, preferably across full-stack environments.Strong experience designing and developing applications using Vue.js and .NET.Demonstrated experience delivering solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.Strong knowledge of secure application development, including least privilege, OWASP principles and secure coding practices.Proven experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, particularly Vue.js.Demonstrated experience establishing and managing source code repositories and CI/CD pipelines.Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, including Agile processes, work item management, source control and deployment pipelines.Experience working within Agile delivery teams and managing competing priorities.Experience working within government or large enterprise environments will be highly regarded.Relevant Microsoft, development or cloud platform certifications.Desirable criteria Experience providing technical leadership or leading ICT development teams.Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Demonstrated ability to lead solution design and make sound technical decisions.Experience delivering technology outcomes in high-pressure and rapidly changing environments.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary Agile team.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and delivering measurable business outcomes.Skills and experience The successful candidates will demonstrate: Strong full-stack development capability using Microsoft .NET, Vue.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.Advanced programming and software development skills.Experience designing and implementing scalable, maintainable and secure software solutions.Strong understanding of application security and secure development principles.Experience with Azure and modern cloud technologies, as well as on-premises environments.Practical experience with Git/source control, software repositories and CI/CD practices.Strong understanding of Azure DevOps processes, Agile delivery and task governance.Ability to analyse complex technical problems and develop practical solutions.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, deployment and application support.Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining quality and delivery standards.A proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach to working in a fast-paced technology environment.
