Description
A scaling technology business based in Aberdeen is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help design, build, and support secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong Azure, DevOps, automation, and platform reliability experience.
You will take ownership of cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, containerised workloads, monitoring, security, and operational best practice.
You’ll work closely with software engineering, security, and operations teams to improve deployment processes, strengthen cloud governance, and support the continued growth of a modern technology platform.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure cloud environmentsBuild secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructureDevelop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using TerraformDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOpsSupport containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and AKSImplement monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and incident response processesApply Azure security, governance, identity, and compliance best practicesMentor junior engineers and contribute to cloud strategy and technical standards
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
5+ years’ experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering3+ years’ hands-on experience with Microsoft AzureStrong experience with Azure DevOps, Terraform, AKS, and YAML pipelinesGood scripting ability using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, or PythonExperience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application InsightsStrong understanding of cloud security, networking, identity, and governanceExperience across Windows Server and Linux environments
Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Kubernetes certifications would be beneficial but are not essential.
