In this role, you will help shape the future of software development at Swiss Post by creating and improving solutions that make software delivery easier, faster, and more reliable.
With you, we create a modern developer platform that delivers sustainable value for our engineering teams.
Your Area of Responsibility
You develop and continuously improve our internal developer portal based on Backstage.
Additionally, you create application skeletons and templates that enable development teams to start new applications efficiently and bring in your expertise effectively.
You build developer-facing tools and workflows using JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and modern web technologies.
Furthermore, you integrate existing application stacks, particularly in Java and/or C# environments, and apply your know-how successfully.
You develop and maintain tailor-made GitHub Actions for our CI/CD environment and automate build, test, and deployment processes.
Moreover, you collaborate closely with software engineering, DevOps, and platform teams and support them with questions related to platforms, tooling, and software delivery, allowing you to make a meaningful contribution.
You monitor the developer experience continuously and implement improvements where needed.
Your Profile
You have solid experience in software engineering with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
Additionally, you bring practical enterprise experience with Java or C# and contribute your expertise effectively.
You have several years of hands-on software engineering experience and design pragmatic, maintainable solutions.
Furthermore, you ideally have experience with developer platforms, Backstage, or similar portal and platform concepts, which helps you convince us with your expertise.
You are familiar with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD concepts, and DevOps principles and enjoy working across teams.
Moreover, you have English skills at level B2 and good knowledge of at least one Swiss national language, allowing you to communicate effectively and contribute successfully

What You Can Earn.
We offer a fair salary of between CHF 118’900 and CHF 133’900 per year (100% employment level), depending on experience and skills.
Talented people with different skills are also welcome to apply; in such cases your salary may be slightly below or above the range.
