Software Developer – .NET

Location: Malta (Birkirkara) Setting: Hybrid work with 2 days on a weekly basis in the office Candidates: Only open to candidates already residing in Malta A well-established technology solutions provider is looking for a Software Developer to join its growing development team. This is an excellent opportunity for a developer with a few years of commercial .NET experience who wants to work on varied projects, develop business-critical applications, and collaborate with experienced technology professionals. The Role You will be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, designing, developing, testing and maintaining robust applications for a range of local and international customers. You will work primarily with C# and .NET technologies, contributing to solutions that are scalable, secure and maintainable. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain web-based applications using C#, ASP.NET Core and Web API.Develop clean, secure and maintainable code in line with software development best practices.Work with Microsoft SQL Server and relational databases.Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through to implementation and support.Troubleshoot, debug and optimise existing applications.Collaborate with other developers and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.Contribute to technical discussions and identify opportunities to improve applications and development processes.Ensure solutions are properly tested, documented and delivered within agreed timelines. Requirements The ideal candidate will have: A degree or qualification in Computer Science, IT or a related field.2–3+ years of commercial experience in .NET development.Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET Core and Web API.Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and relational databases.A strong understanding of software development principles and coding best practices.Good analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.Strong communication and time-management abilities.A methodical approach to writing clean, secure and maintainable code. Nice to Have Experience with React or other JavaScript frameworks/libraries.Knowledge of Microsoft Azure.Exposure to ERP systems or business applications.Experience working on projects for multiple customers or across different business environments.
