About the Opportunity: The Staff Front End Engineer role is responsible for leading the development of web visualization tools critical to improving feedback loops for machine learning engineers and enhancing autonomous vehicle system performance. This position is key in architecting scalable frontend ecosystems, driving cross-team collaboration, and delivering user-centric interfaces that support complex data workflows. The role contributes directly to the adaptability and effectiveness of the autonomous driving platform. 3. Responsibilities: • Establish and promote web development standards and best practices across teams • Lead collaboration efforts to ensure timely and effective delivery of projects • Architect and scale frontend frameworks using React, TypeScript, and Vue • Work closely with ML, frontend, UX, and data teams to align tools with operational workflows • Develop mission-critical user interface systems for internal users • Design user experiences for complex, data-intensive tasks • Advocate for performance, scalability, and maintainability best practices • Deliver rapid iterations in a product-focused environment 4. Requirements: • Strong experience in designing and building user-facing visual applications with a focus on good UX • Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture • Experience with Vue framework • Strong product sense emphasizing usability • Ability to work with high autonomy and ownership • Skilled in mentoring and collaborating with engineers of various seniority levels • Established habits in technical design and documentation • Ability to engage directly with users to identify needs and provide solutions 5. Pay Range and Compensation Package: • Salary range: $172,000—$229,000 USD base salary • Additional compensation may include bonuses or equity, dependent on experience and role requirements 6.
