We help enterprises solve core operational bottlenecks and scale by turning fragmented workflows and raw data into intelligent, reliable digital infrastructure. The Role We are seeking a Technical Business Development Analyst (Intern) to operate at the intersection of commercial strategy and software engineering. In this role, you will build data pipelines, design real-time business intelligence dashboards, and evaluate technical requirements for client acquisition and partnership funnels. Rather than just running numbers, you will act as the technical backbone of our growth engine, translating high-level business goals into automated workflows, clean data models, and analytical tools that give leadership clear visibility into operational performance, deal pipelines, and client engagement. Key Responsibilities Business Intelligence & Data Engineering: Extract, transform, and model data across sales CRMs, billing systems, and client touchpoints to create a unified source of truth for business performance.Executive Dashboards & Reporting: Design, maintain, and automate interactive BI dashboards tracking lead conversion velocity, client acquisition costs, revenue forecasting, and delivery KPIs.Technical Opportunity & Market Analysis: Research technical trends, perform competitive benchmarking, and analyze client technology stacks to help craft tailored technical proposals and pitches.API Integrations & Workflow Automation: Build automated connectors and scripts between internal tools, outbound business platforms, and analytics engines to streamline business operations.Applied AI & Analytics: Leverage LLM APIs and modern coding agents to parse unstructured business documents, automate data enrichment, and accelerate pipeline reporting.Growth & Web Architecture Support: Monitor technical performance metrics across web assets, ensure tracking integrity (server-side and client-side), and implement technical fixes to support growth initiatives. What We're Looking For 🛠️ Required Technical Skills SQL & Data Modeling: Solid command of complex queries, multi-table joins, subqueries, aggregations, and window functions to query relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and transform raw transaction logs into structured analytical datasets.Data Visualization & Business Intelligence (Power BI / Tableau): Proven ability to model data relationships (star/snowflake schemas), write calculated measures (DAX or calculated fields), and build clean, actionable executive dashboards rather than cluttered visual reports.Programming & Scripting Fundamentals (Python / JavaScript): Practical understanding of core computer science fundamentals, data structures, loops, functions, object-oriented design, and defensive error handling. Python preferred for scripting and data manipulation (pandas, requests). API Consumption & Web Data: Hands-on experience reading API documentation, handling authentication (Bearer tokens, API keys), making HTTP requests (GET, POST), parsing nested JSON payloads, and debugging failed endpoints.Data Sanitization & Validation: Experience dealing with real-world, imperfect datasets—handling null values, standardizing mixed data formats, deduplication, and sanity-checking metrics against ground-truth logs.Applied LLMs & Prompt Engineering: Practical exposure to building utility scripts using OpenAI/Anthropic APIs or open-source models for tasks like entity extraction, automated summarization, and data categorization.Version Control (Git & GitHub): Working knowledge of version control fundamentals: branching, writing clean commit messages, resolving merge conflicts, and managing code repositories. 🌟 Nice to Have Full-Stack Familiarity: Basic understanding of TypeScript, React, or modern backend frameworks (Node.js/Express or FastAPI) to audit web apps and client systems.Modern Developer Workflows: Routine usage of AI-assisted developer environments (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to build and debug faster.Automation & ETL Frameworks: Exposure to integration platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier) or cloud-based cron/ETL jobs.Cloud & Infrastructure Awareness: Basic familiarity with cloud services (AWS/GCP, Docker, serverless functions) or reverse-proxy routing. Who You Are Problem-First Thinker: You look beyond vanity metrics to identify root causes and quantify actual business impact.Curious About Systems: You genuinely care about how businesses make money, how software companies acquire enterprise clients, and how technology solves friction.Bridge Between Worlds: You can discuss database schemas with software engineers and summarize high-level ROI for business leaders without missing a beat.Proactive and self driven: You thrive when given an ambiguous business problem, figure out what data is needed, and build the solution proactively.Familiar with AI: You use AI tools to multiply your productivity, but rigorously verify and audit the generated logic and outputs. Why Join LeftclickTech? Competitive Compensation: Attractive intern stipend with clear milestones for permanent conversion.Engineering Mentorship: Work directly alongside experienced software architects and engineers who care about code quality and architectural design.Cutting-Edge Stack: Full access to enterprise-grade AI tools, modern development environments, and cloud infrastructure.Global Exposure: Direct involvement in projects and business strategies tailored for Australian and international enterprise clients.Office Perks: Daily company-provided lunch, premium tea & coffee, and a collaborative, low-ego workspace in Setopul.
