About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi
As a Data Engineer, you will develop, build and continuously improve scalable data pipelines, data products, and governed data that enables trusted, secure and high-quality data across ACC's enterprise platforms.
Working across operational and analytical environments, you will support frontline services, enterprise decision-making and future-focused initiatives including AI and advanced analytics.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping ACC deliver better outcomes for New Zealanders and contributing to keeping Kiwis safe at work, at home, and everywhere in between.
The appointing salary for this role is $101,287 to $131,077 based on experience.
ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme (9% contribution) with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance.
About you | Mōu
You will bring:
Proven experience developing and supporting data pipelines, data models and data products.Strong capability in scripting, data transformation, orchestration, testing, monitoring and automation.Experience working with large, sensitive and complex datasets from across multiple systems.Knowledge of data quality, metadata, lineage, privacy, security and access management practices.Experience with modern cloud data platforms, CI/CD practices and DataOps or DevOps approaches.The ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.A relevant tertiary qualification in data engineering, computer science, software engineering, mathematics or equivalent practical experience.Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori Data Sovereignty principles.A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to delivering trusted, high-quality outcomes.
