We are seeking experienced Senior DevOps/Platform Engineers to join our client's Platform Operations & Engineering Team, implementing modernization initiatives for store Point of Sale (POS) systems across edge locations.
This is a fully remote position that offers you the flexibility to work from any location in Armenia, whether it's your home or well-equipped offices in Yerevan or Gyumri.
Responsibilities
Execute infrastructure enhancements across edge locations using Oracle Linux, Docker, Kubernetes (K8s/K3s), Helm, Kustomize, and AnsibleDeploy and maintain containerized applications in distributed edge computing environmentsImplement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices and ensure high availability of POS systemsBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCDImplement automated testing, security scanning, and deployment processesManage GitOps workflows and optimize deployment efficiencyDeploy and configure FluentBit, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and GrafanaImplement comprehensive logging, metrics collection, and distributed tracingCreate dashboards, alerts, and support incident response activitiesDevelop platform tools, scripts, and automation to support development teamsWork with Systems Architect to translate designs into working solutionsCollaborate with development teams and participate in agile ceremonies
Requirements
3+ years of hands-on experience with Linux administration (Oracle Linux preferred), Docker, and KubernetesExpertise in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and GitOps practicesHands-on experience with observability tools: FluentBit, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, GrafanaProficiency with Ansible, Helm, Kustomize, and infrastructure as codeStrong scripting skills in Bash and Python with automation experienceUnderstanding of edge computing and distributed infrastructure challengesExperience with monitoring strategies for distributed systemsKnowledge of security best practices in DevOps environments, secrets management, and secure configuration practicesRetail/POS environment experience highly preferredKnowledge of networking, load balancing, and service mesh technologiesUnderstanding of high-availability and disaster recovery principlesStrong problem-solving, communication, and mentoring abilities within cross-functional agile teamsEnglish proficiency at B2 level or higher
