Insight Global is looking to bring on a Senior Backend Developer strong with Java (Java 17+) and Spring Boot experience.
You will be building highly available, large-scale distributed systems in a cloud-native environment.
You would be working on a mission-critical Azure-based platform that serves as a central control unit, where low latency, reliability, and resilience are critical.
The role involves designing and maintaining Java microservices, deploying services on Kubernetes using Helm, and optimizing service-to-service communication using gRPC, REST, and messaging protocols.
A strong understanding of distributed systems, networking performance, scalability, fault tolerance, and microservices architecture is essential, as you will help shape secure, high-performance services that operate across multiple regions and environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Java (Java 17+) services within a distributed, event-driven architecture using Spring Boot.Package, deploy, and operate microservices on Kubernetes using Helm across multiple environments (dev/test/prod).Contribute to service decomposition, domain boundaries, and API design with a focus on latency, throughput, reliability, and backward compatibility.Design and implement reliable service-to-service communication using REST, gRPC, and messaging protocols.Support protocol-agnostic ingress suitable for long-lived or reconnect-sensitive traffic.Help optimize networking concerns (TCP behavior, connection pooling, backoff, circuit breaking) for high-scale traffic.Design, maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, access patterns, integrity, performance, reliability, backups, replication, and recovery.Design and implement Redis caching and data-synchronization strategies, including TTLs, invalidation, consistency, and cache performance.
