Position Title:-DevOps Engineer (Cloud Engineer) OR Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – (Backup & Cyber Recovery)
Required Education:-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Required Experience & Skills
7+ years in Backup, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering; 5+ years designing enterprise backup solutions; 3+ years supporting cyber recovery architectures.
Strong SRE principles, distributed systems, high availability, automation, observability, RCA, SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.
Backup & Recovery: Cohesity, Dell PowerProtect Data Manager, Dell Data Domain, Dell Cyber Recovery, Rubrik, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Veeam.
Cyber Resilience: Air-gapped vaults, immutable backups, Clean Rooms, Isolated Recovery Environments (IRE), recovery orchestration, cyber resilience testing, ransomware recovery, recovery validation.
Cloud & Platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, VMware, Hyper-V, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Linux, Windows Server, Active Directory, enterprise storage platforms.
Automation & DevOps: Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Bash, GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines.
Observability: Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK Stack.
Security: Zero Trust architecture, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, encryption and key management, IAM, MFA, secure recovery processes.
Experience with cloud-native backup, cross-region recovery, hybrid cloud resiliency, IaC, Recovery as Code, RPO/RTO, and automated recovery runbooks.
Preferred Qualifications
Financial services/regulated industry and GSIB cyber resiliency experience.
Knowledge of Federal Reserve, OCC, or FFIEC regulatory expectations.
Chaos engineering, resilience testing, SRE tooling, reliability metrics, AIOps, and predictive analytics.
Strong troubleshooting, systems thinking, communication, executive presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Proven ability to drive automation, reliability, engineering standards, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Engineer highly available, secure, automated backup and recovery platforms across on-premises, cloud, and SaaS environments.
Design immutable, air-gapped, and isolated cyber recovery architectures for ransomware resilience.
Develop recovery orchestration, validation, malware scanning, and automated recovery workflows.
Build IaC/Recovery as Code using Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python, and GitHub Actions.
Implement monitoring, alerting, observability, dashboards, and recovery-readiness metrics using Dynatrace, Grafana, Splunk, and Prometheus.
Plan and execute cyber recovery, clean room, air-gap, IRE, BMR, and DR testing.
Validate application recoverability against RPO/RTO objectives and provide executive reporting on recovery readiness and testing outcomes.
