About The Role Y Combinator is seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position involves developing critical user-facing tools that enhance the experience of our startup founders, partners, and internal teams. As a key contributor, you will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to create intuitive and high-performance interfaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in React and modern frontend development practices, with a passion for crafting seamless user experiences. Qualifications Proven experience in frontend development, particularly with React.js.Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals.Experience with modern frontend build tools and version control systems such as Git.Ability to translate design wireframes and prototypes into functional code.Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work effectively within a small, collaborative team environment.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces for our platform and tools.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions that improve user engagement and satisfaction.Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and maintain high standards of code quality.Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance our development processes.Assist in troubleshooting and resolving frontend issues to ensure a smooth user experience.Contribute to documentation and provide technical guidance to junior team members when needed.
