Role Overview:
ITMC Systems is seeking skilled Python Backend Engineers to build and scale high-performance backend systems.
This role focuses on API development, platform engineering, and distributed system design to support enterprise-grade, scalable, and secure financial platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python.
• Build and manage robust RESTful APIs and backend integrations (OpenAPI, JSON).
• Drive platform engineering initiatives to ensure high reliability, observability, and scalability.
• Lead and contribute to system design discussions for fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Optimize performance, security, and observability across core backend microservices.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce software engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications:
• 5 to 10+ years of professional backend engineering experience with Python.
• Hands-on expertise in API design and development (REST, JSON, OpenAPI).
• Strong foundational knowledge in system design (scalability, fault tolerance, performance).
• Experience in platform engineering or developing shared backend platforms.
• Solid proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
