Our Treasury team is looking for a self-starting Senior Banking Specialist to support banking solutions and infrastructure across varied products, business models and jurisdictions, including regulated entities where relevant.
The role spans bank relationship management, banking-wallet and commercial management, bank fees and interest, banking infrastructure, process improvement and Treasury strategy.
You will help develop regulatory-compliant banking solutions and connectivity in collaboration with teams across the BKNG Group, elevating capabilities through continuous improvement, automation and robust controls.
You will be part of the Global Treasury team and work closely with colleagues across Banking, Front Office, Risk, Cash Management, Banking Technology and other Finance and business functions.
The role requires strong teamwork, coordination and relationship-management skills, together with the tenacity to move complex topics and projects forward.
Objectives extend across regulatory, Legal, Tax, Product and technology topics.
You will be comfortable working with experts and stakeholders from different countries and cultures, balancing business needs with enterprise risk, control and compliance requirements.
You will also share knowledge and provide practical guidance to colleagues on specialised banking and technical Treasury topics.

Key responsibilities:Banking products, payments and solution deliverySupport due diligence and solution design for collections, payouts and settlement flows across products, business models and jurisdictions, including virtual accounts, direct debit, instant payments, local and cross-border rails, cash pooling, sweeps, intraday liquidity and safeguarding-related account structures.
Translate business, operational, regulatory and Treasury requirements into practical bank requirements, RFI/RFP input, business cases, implementation plans and controlled processes.
Work with internal experts and external partners to assess local regulations, payment restrictions, purpose codes, sanctions and FinCrime considerations, tax and legal documentation, resilience and contingency needs.
Support improvements to end-to-end payment, collection, payout and repatriation processes, including clear ownership, controls and handoffs.
Bank relationships and commercial governanceBuild effective working relationships with assigned core and non-core banks, fintechs and payment providers, and structure recurring service and business reviews with key partners, including agendas, performance insights, escalations and action plans.
Review bank fees, account interest conditions and billing data for accuracy and adherence to agreed pricing schedules; investigate discrepancies and coordinate remediation or commercial follow-up.
Prepare concise analyses and management information on service performance, bank fees, interest conditions, open issues and opportunities.
Support bank-fee and interest-monitoring controls, including monthly reviews, variance analysis and evidence collection.
Bank account lifecycle, management, controls and dataSupport bank-account openings, maintenance, rationalisation and closures across entities, currencies and banking partners, including documentation, approvals, mandates, signatory and contact updates, KYC and bank confirmations.
Support audit, SOX, business-control, FinCrime, business-impact assessment and business-continuity requirements within the assigned scope.
Keep process documentation, country manuals, trackers and control evidence complete, current and easy for others to use.
Effectively and efficiently, deal with all BAU banking issues and queries.
Banking technology, connectivity and changeContribute to TMS, SAP/S4, Bank Account Management, bank-connectivity and reporting initiatives from discovery and design through testing, go-live and hypercare.
Work with Banking Technology and bank partners on SWIFT, API, host-to-host, FileAct and portal connectivity, as well as ISO 20022, MT101, MT940, MT942 and CAMT reporting.
Validate bank files, statements, account structures, payment formats, reporting and reconciliation requirements across relevant entities, currencies and business processes.
Coordinate project dependencies, communicate risks and decisions, and maintain clear action logs and implementation documentation.
Continuous improvement, analytics and knowledge sharingIdentify process waste, control gaps, recurring incidents and opportunities to standardise or automate Banking activities.
Use data and structured analysis to support root-cause investigations, fee and interest insights, service-performance reporting and commercial discussions.
Help leverage dashboards, workflow tools, automation and emerging AI capabilities to improve efficiency and quality.
Create or improve procedures, process maps, product documentation and knowledge-sharing materials, and provide practical guidance to more junior colleagues.
Key skills and experience required: Typically 3–5 years of relevant experience in corporate banking, payments, treasury, financial services operations or financial infrastructure, ideally in a multinational environment.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, economics, business, treasury or a related field; relevant professional Treasury or Finance qualifications are an advantage.
Practical experience with banking relationship management, bank account lifecycle activities, payment operations, bank products or financial systems.
Experience working with bank fees, account interest conditions, service performance, pricing analysis or commercial follow-up is strongly preferred.
Experience supporting banking, payments, TMS, ERP, connectivity, account-structure or process-improvement projects.
Exposure to KYC, mandates, signatory or access governance, audit evidence, SOX/business controls, sanctions, AML/FinCrime or other regulated banking requirements.
Working knowledge of core Treasury processes and their interdependencies, with a developing specialism in Banking Management.
Understanding of payment and statement flows, bank connectivity and related technologies, such as SWIFT, API, host-to-host, FileAct, bank portals, ISO 20022 and MT/CAMT messaging.
Experience using or learning systems such as SAP/S4 Bank Account Management, Treasury Management Systems, bank portals, Excel and data-visualisation or workflow tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate large or incomplete data sets, identify patterns and communicate practical recommendations.
Ability to create clear process documentation, requirements, business cases, RFI/RFP content, presentations and management updates.
