Overview Job Purpose ICE Mortgage Technology (IMT) develops and maintains the technology platforms that power the modern mortgage lifecycle — from origination through servicing. Our engineering teams build the systems that lenders, servicers, and consumers rely on every day to manage one of the most significant financial transactions in their lives. We are seeking a Full Stack Developer I to join our innovative development team. In this role, you will contribute to building and modernizing the applications at the core of our mortgage servicing platform. You will work on well-defined features and components under the guidance of senior engineers, and be part of a team actively transitioning legacy systems to modern, scalable architecture. Responsibilities Develop and maintain full-stack feature development using React on the frontend and Java/Spring Boot microservices on the backend, under the guidance of senior engineersMaintain of existing C#/.NET applications and MS SQL databases, and assist with migration efforts to Java/Spring Boot and PostgreSQLWrite and maintain PostgreSQL queries and assist with schema work to support application performance and data integrityCreate and maintain RESTful APIs, adhering to data governance policies and procedures; integrate with React-based frontendsImplement new features and enhancements to existing functionality with defined standards and peer collaborationWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and team standardsLeverage AI as a core development tool to accelerate workflows including code generation, documentation, and code review assistanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutionsTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in both backend and frontend systems, using AI-assisted tools to diagnose and resolve issues fasterParticipate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedbackWrite and maintain unit tests to ensure code quality and functionality, including AI-assisted test generation and coverage analysisStay current with relevant technologies, frameworks, and emerging AI/LLM capabilities relevant to the tech stackPerform additional duties as assigned Knowledge And Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)1+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent experienceFoundational knowledge of Java and Spring BootExperience with React, JavaScript (ES6+), and/or TypeScriptExperience with SQL and relational database concepts; exposure to PostgreSQL is a plusUnderstanding of web application and API security principlesExperience with version control systems (Git)Familiarity with Agile development methodologiesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesComfort using AI as a daily tool across the software development lifecycle, from design through testing and deployment Preferred Knowledge And Experience Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)Knowledge of containerization concepts (Docker)Familiarity with microservices architectureExperience with automated testing frameworksUnderstanding of responsive design and accessibility standardsKnowledge of performance optimization techniquesFamiliarity with getting the most out of AI through clear prompting and understanding its strengths and limitations in a development context Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
