Senior Network Engineer IP - Infrastructure

Grow with us About this opportunity: Are you an experienced network engineer who enjoys working on complex IP infrastructure in a real customer environment? We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer IP Infrastructure to strengthen our team in Maastricht. In this role, you will work across the full lifecycle of IP network solutions: from design and lab validation to integration, implementation, and final acceptance. You will join a skilled team of telecom and IT professionals, work with modern technologies, and help deliver reliable, high-impact network solutions for our customers. What you will do: Translate high-level and low-level designs into clear implementation plans and configurationsSet up and maintain lab environments, including router configuration, testing, and validationExecute network changes in line with change management processesSupport deployment and operations teams with technical expertisePerform network modelling, analysis, and capacity planningLead technical discussions with customers and advise on architecture and technology choicesCreate technical documentation, presentations, and proposalsContribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives. The skills you bring: You recognize yourself in the following profile: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable fieldRelevant Cisco certification(s), or the willingness to obtain themAt least 5 years of experience in IP networking and infrastructure engineeringStrong hands-on experience with network design, implementation, and project deliveryAn accurate and analytical way of working, especially in structured environments with high-impact network changesFluency in EnglishDutch language skills are a strong advantage You have strong knowledge of: Metro Ethernet, MPLS, Unified MPLS, Segment RoutingRouting protocols, including IS-IS, OSPF, BGP v4/v6, iBGP, and eBGPCisco hardware (ASR1k, ASR9k, Nexus)Network automation (Python, Ansible, REST/NETCONF, YANG/JSON/YAML)VPN technologies (EVPN, Inter-AS VPN, Carrier Ethernet)High availability features (NSF, graceful restart, BFD, link aggregation)Service provider virtualization (e.g., Cisco ACI).
