Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Founding Software Engineer role in New York, NY.
As our first full-time engineering hire, you'll help define the architecture, product, and engineering culture from day one, with real ownership over technical direction.
You'll design and maintain the back-end services and APIs that power our AI-native brokerage platform.
Implementing features, making foundational architectural decisions, and collaborating with product, data, and operations teams.
Compensation is $130k–$190k cash plus 1–3% equity, depending on experience.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, Go, or similar).Hands-on experience in Software Development and Back-End Web Development, including building and maintaining APIs and services.Experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL), version control systems, and modern development practices (testing, CI/CD).Ability to analyze requirements, break down complex problems, and deliver robust, scalable solutions.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
