UX & Front-End Engineer, AI

About the Opportunity: The UX & Front End Engineer, AI designs and develops advanced user interfaces that connect generative and agentic AI capabilities with intuitive, user-friendly experiences. This role focuses on building front-end applications and reusable components that improve productivity and usability across internal tools. The position works closely with engineering, product, UX, and AI teams to translate complex AI functionality into accessible and effective user experiences. Responsibilities: • Design and implement responsive AI user interfaces that simplify complex generative AI workflows. • Develop and maintain scalable, accessible front-end component libraries using modern technologies such as React and TypeScript. • Prototype and implement innovative interaction patterns for conversational AI and agent-based features. • Optimize UI performance for real-time AI responses, including streaming data and asynchronous state management. • Integrate front-end components with internal AI services and APIs. • Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and AI engineers to refine AI workflows based on user feedback. • Ensure interfaces comply with web accessibility standards and align with established design systems. • Implement front-end analytics to monitor user engagement and interface effectiveness. • Maintain comprehensive documentation for front-end architecture, components, and design guidelines. Requirements: • Recent experience designing and developing user interfaces for generative AI applications, including conversational interfaces and dynamic prompt systems. • Expert proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML5, and CSS/Sass using modular architecture. • Experience managing complex asynchronous UI states and streaming data using WebSockets or Server-Sent Events. • Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles, wireframing, and rapid prototyping. • Willingness and ability to learn and adopt the organization’s AI and UI frameworks. • Experience integrating front-end applications with AI backend services through APIs. • Experience working with enterprise design systems and component documentation tools. • Knowledge of web performance optimization, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards. • Practical experience with design and developer handoff tools such as Figma. Pay Range and Compensation Package: • Compensation is based on base salary without variable compensation. • Salary ranges vary by geographic location and are determined in good faith based on the role, market conditions, and other relevant factors.
