Infrastructure / Forward Deployed Engineer — UK Remote £50k–£75k + Meaningful Equity I’m working with a well-funded AI startup looking for a strong Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of deploying and running its platform across complex production environments. This is a broad, hands-on role sitting across Infrastructure, Platform and Production Engineering — ideal for someone who wants ownership beyond simply writing software. You’ll work across: Kubernetes and containerised infrastructureAWS / GCP and private cloud environmentsNetworking, ingress, certificates, secrets and SSO/SAMLObservability, alerting, incident response and production reliabilityCI/CD and infrastructure automationCapacity planning and performanceVPC, data centre and air-gapped deploymentsDebugging complex production issues across software and infrastructure We’re looking for engineers who have genuinely run production systems, responded to incidents and are comfortable getting deep into infrastructure when something breaks. The underlying role also covers deployment into customer infrastructure and ownership of reliability and capacity. Backgrounds in Infrastructure Engineering, SRE, Platform Engineering, Production Engineering or Forward Deployed Engineering could all translate really well.
