Mid-Level QA Engineer

🚀 ROQ Capital, the first Armenian investment company with over 30 years of excellence and one of the leading players in the country’s financial market is looking for a Middle+ QA Engineer to join the team building ROQ Markets, our next-generation brokerage application with unique AI-powered features. We are looking for someone who can work independently, without micromanagement, understand a feature end-to-end, challenge unclear requirements, identify risks before release, and investigate issues across mobile, backend, APIs, data, integrations, network traffic and logs. POSITION TITLE: Middle+ QA Engineer CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent | Full-time WORK FORMAT: On-site with possible remote flexibility | Local presence in Armenia is mandatory LOCATION: Yerevan, Armenia | 39 Hanrapetutyan Street WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON • Testing the ROQ Markets mobile application across iOS and Android • Functional, integration, regression, negative and exploratory testing • Testing functionality through UI, REST APIs, data, network traffic and logs • Analyzing requirements and identifying gaps, risks and edge cases before development • Investigating issues across mobile / backend / external provider layers • Testing integrations and failure scenarios including timeouts, retries, duplicate requests/events and partial failures • Assessing regression impact of product and technical changes • Working closely with Developers, Product Owners and Business / Systems Analysts • Preparing clear defect reports with sufficient technical context for developers • Contributing to test coverage and overall product quality WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • 3+ years of commercial QA experience • Hands-on experience testing mobile applications — iOS and/or Android • Strong practical experience with REST API testing • Experience with Postman, Bruno or similar tools • Good knowledge of HTTP, JSON and Swagger / OpenAPI • Practical SQL knowledge • Experience with Charles, Proxyman, mitmproxy or similar network/proxy tools • Ability to work with logs and independently localize issues • Strong understanding of client-server architecture and integrations • Strong test-design skills: positive/negative scenarios, boundary values, state transitions and regression scope • Understanding of asynchronous systems and eventual consistency • Basic understanding of Git and CI/CD TECHNICAL TOOLKIT REST API · HTTP · JSON · SQL · Swagger / OpenAPI · Postman / Bruno · Charles / Proxyman / mitmproxy · Mobile Testing · Logs · Client-Server Architecture · Git · CI/CD STRONG ADVANTAGE • Experience in fintech, banking, brokerage, trading or investment products • Understanding of order lifecycle, balances, reserved funds and transactions • WebSocket / streaming-data testing • Experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL or Redis • Python + pytest, Appium or API automation • Experience with external KYC, trading, payment or market-data providers WHAT MATTERS TO US We need someone who can independently move through requirement → risks → test design → mobile/API testing → data/network/logs → integrations → quality conclusion and take real ownership of quality — not simply execute predefined test cases. 📩 How to Apply Apply here or send your CV to hr@roqcapital.am, mentioning “Middle+ QA Engineer” in the subject line.
