Description

The Virtual Assistant team within John Hancock US Technology is transforming how customers, advisors, and operations teams interact across digital channels. As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will build and enhance intelligent customer experiences powered by conversational AI, cloud technologies, and modern software engineering practices. This role offers an opportunity to work on highly visible digital products, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help shape the future of AI-driven customer engagement. You'll contribute to scalable, secure, and customer-focused solutions that support the next generation of omni-channel experiences. Position Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance Virtual Assistant and conversational AI solutions supporting customer servicing experiences.Develop scalable applications and APIs using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, REST services, and microservices architecture.Build and maintain responsive user interfaces using modern front-end technologies such as React.Design and deploy cloud-native solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services.Collaborate with product owners, architects, UX designers, and engineering teams to deliver innovative digital solutions.Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevSecOps practices, and application monitoring.Produce technical documentation, integration specifications, and solution designs while contributing to engineering best practices. Required Qualifications 2+ years of software engineering experience.2+ years of hands-on experience developing applications using C# and .NET technologies.Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and microservices.Experience designing and implementing applications on Microsoft Azure.Experience with modern front-end technologies such as JavaScript, React, or similar frameworks.Experience working with SQL Server, Azure SQL, or related database technologies.Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar tools.Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Referenced Salary Location Toronto, Ontario Working Arrangement Hybrid Salary range is expected to be between $86,100.00 CAD - $136,100.00 CAD Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
