Description

TST Group is an international recruiting agency that has been providing technical resources in the UK/European region . This role is with one of our clients in Poland who is actively hiring candidates to expand their teams. Role : Ruby on Rails Developer Location: Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid) B2B Contract Key Responsibilities Design, code, test, and deploy features, backend services, APIs, and integration layers for SCIP using Ruby on Rails, applying cloud-native development patterns as the default approach.Independently plan and document new and ongoing projects/features and contribute within interdisciplinary agile project teams (Scrum/Kanban).Further develop and maintain Rails Engines, Ruby Gems, and existing Rails applications.Own automated testing, build, and deployment pipelines (RSpec, GitLab CI) as part of the definition of done for every feature.Integrate security controls into the development lifecycle, including threat modelling, SAST/DAST findings, and security-by-design practices.Participate in technical design sessions and code reviews, provide architectural input, and share technical knowledge with peers.Contribute to reducing technical debt through refactoring and documentation of architectural decisions.Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code or comparable AI coding assistants) as part of the daily workflow to accelerate implementation, refactoring, test generation, and documentation while retaining full engineering accountability for reviewing, validating, and securing AI-generated code.Support knowledge transfer from current subcontractors during onboarding, particularly during Q4, to ensure continuity of SCIP-specific expertise.For one of the six positions, lead or closely support data migration efforts related to SCIP, requiring in-depth application knowledge of the SCIP product and its data structures.Required Qualifications Multiple years of professional experience developing web/server applications in Ruby on Rails.Experience creating and extending Rails Engines and Ruby Gems.Independent management of automated testing, build, and deployment processes (RSpec, GitLab CI).Experience with agile methods and tools (Jira, Scrum/Kanban).Practical experience using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar) in a professional software development context.Fluent English.For the data migration-focused position, existing hands-on knowledge of the SCIP application and its data model.
