Since our beginnings in 2021, SalesCaptain has grown into a global force, working with fast-growing B2B brands, YC & Techstars startups, and Series B/C companies, helping them go to market through predictable, scalable outbound systems.
We're looking for a Senior GTM Engineer to own and evolve our outbound revenue infrastructure across client accounts.
This is a hands-on senior role sitting at the intersection of data, automation, AI, deliverability, intent signals, and outbound strategy.
Beyond building systems yourself, you'll help set technical standards, introduce new GTM technologies, and mentor other team members.
This is a full-time, remote role, working EU hours.
About The Role
You'll work closely with GTM Strategists, Campaign Managers, and other GTM Engineers to architect scalable outbound systems from ICP definition through campaign execution and reporting.
You'll own complex Clay workflows, data infrastructure, intent and signal-based targeting, automation, and deliverability, while continuously testing new AI and GTM tools that can improve our results.
We're looking for someone who can not only build great systems, but also lead technically, challenge existing processes, and help raise the standard of the wider team.
What You'll Do ✨
Architect end-to-end outbound systems, from ICP and TAM definition through enrichment, sequencing, CRM sync, and performance reportingBuild and optimize advanced Clay workflows, including enrichment waterfalls, Claygent, AI columns, conditional logic, and custom API integrationsOwn and improve email deliverability infrastructure, including domains, inbox health, sending infrastructure, authentication, reputation, and scaling best practicesDesign intent and signal-based outbound systems using signals such as job changes, funding, hiring activity, website intent, technology adoption, social activity, and other buying signalsBuild automation workflows with n8n, Make, Zapier, APIs, and webhooksUse AI and LLMs to improve prospect research, qualification, personalization, data processing, and campaign workflowsContinuously explore and test new AI and GTM technologies, identifying tools and approaches that can give SalesCaptain and our clients an advantageWrite lightweight Python or JavaScript and work directly with APIs when no-code tools aren't enoughPartner with GTM Strategists to improve targeting, campaign architecture, and outbound performanceEstablish best practices and documentation for GTM engineering workflowsMentor junior and mid-level GTM Engineers, review workflows, troubleshoot complex problems, and help the team develop technicallyProactively identify inefficient processes and design better, more scalable solutions
Requirements
Who you are ❤️🔥
You should have:
3+ years of experience in GTM Engineering, RevOps, outbound operations, growth engineering, or a closely related roleStrong hands-on experience building outbound systems in a B2B SaaS, GTM agency, consultancy, or fast-moving technology environmentAdvanced experience with Clay, including complex enrichment workflows, Claygent, AI columns, waterfalls, and APIsStrong understanding of email deliverability, sending infrastructure, domain reputation, authentication, and inbox healthExperience designing campaigns around intent data and buying signals, rather than relying only on static prospect listsStrong knowledge of the modern GTM tooling ecosystem and genuine curiosity around emerging AI and automation toolsComfort working with APIs, webhooks, JSON, automation platforms, and basic Python or JavaScriptA strong commercial mindset — you understand ICPs, messaging, outbound performance, pipeline, and why targeting decisions matterStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to design systems rather than simply execute predefined tasksExperience mentoring, supporting, or reviewing the work of other team membersExcellent English communication skills (C1-C2), with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholdersExperience working with Tech, SaaS, or B2B software companies
We're also open to candidates coming from RevOps, growth engineering, Clay consulting, outbound operations, or highly technical SDR/BDR backgrounds who have transitioned into systems building.

You have never used Clay or similar GTM automation toolsYour outbound experience is limited to basic LinkedIn scraping or list buildingYou have little understanding of email deliverabilityYou prefer executing instructions rather than designing systems and proposing improvementsYou are not interested in experimenting with new AI and GTM technologiesYou are uncomfortable taking ownership of complex technical problemsYou do not enjoy mentoring or sharing knowledge with other team members
