About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support, maintaining, and enhancing a client application to ensure its accessibility, reliability, and optimal performance. Operating within an Agile, sprint-based development environment, you will leverage your expertise in modern web technologies, JavaScript frameworks, and responsive design principles to deliver scalable, user-focused applications. Your work will also involve ensuring compliance with accessibility standards such as Section 508 and WCAG, integrating RESTful APIs, and utilizing cloud platforms like AWS. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to mission-critical projects supporting federal government agencies, with occasional travel based on project needs. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of frontend development experienceBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience (3 additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree)Proficiency in modern web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design techniquesExperience with JavaScript development using modern standards and frameworks such as ReactStrong understanding of Section 508 compliance and WCAG accessibility standardsExperience with accessibility testing tools, both automated and manualAbility to consume and integrate RESTful APIs effectivelyExperience working within agile methodologies and sprint cyclesProficiency with version control systems, particularly Git/GitHubExperience creating web layouts from static images and implementing views and templates in full-stack frameworksFamiliarity with AWS cloud environment, Python backend, and TypeScript front-end development is preferredExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and collaboration abilities Responsibilities Provide expert technical support for the maintenance, development, and enhancement of the client applicationEnsure the application's accessibility, performance, and reliability in line with project requirementsImplement responsive, user-friendly interfaces adhering to modern web standardsWork within an Agile, sprint-based development cycle to deliver iterative improvementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend services and APIsUtilize AWS cloud services and open-source tools to optimize application deployment and scalabilityConduct accessibility testing and ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG standardsParticipate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiativesSupport occasional travel for project meetings, team collaboration, or training sessions, with travel less than 10% of the time Benefits Competitive salary range of $110,000 - $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualificationsComprehensive health care plan including medical, dental, and vision coverageRetirement plan options such as 401(k)Life insurance coverage, including voluntary and AD&D optionsPaid time off and family leave policies (maternity, paternity)Short-term and long-term disability benefitsOpportunities for training and professional development to support career growth Equal Opportunity Aretum is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
