Job Description About the Role We are looking for a Senior .NET Backend Developer to join our team! We're building a large-scale, enterprise-grade web platform on a modular microservice architecture. As a backend engineer, you'll own the full lifecycle of domain services — from data modelling and business logic through API design, messaging contracts, database migrations, and production deployment. You'll work in a multi-vendor setup alongside DevOps, architecture, and product teams. Responsibilities Design, build, test, and operate microservices following a read/write service-pair pattern (read-only delivery APIs + write-capable update/ingestion services) Implement event-driven communication between services Own your domain end-to-end: schema design, API contracts, persistence, messaging, and production monitoring Contribute to shared platform libraries and tooling Document architectural decisions and service designs for both technical and non-technical stakeholders Required Technical Skills And Experience C# / .NET 8 – Web API development, modern C# features (records, pattern matching, nullable reference types, async/await best practices) Entity Framework Core - code-first migrations, specification pattern, repository abstraction Microservice architecture - clear separation of concerns across layered services (controller → service → repository) Event-driven messaging - publishing and consuming messages on a service bus (MassTransit, NServiceBus, or similar), contract-first design, idempotency Entity Framework Core - code-first migrations, specification pattern, repository abstraction Authentication & Authorization - JWT validation, Azure AD / Entra ID, OIDC Third-party API integrations (DAM systems, CRM/marketing platforms, email dispatch) Nice To Have Azure - AKS (Kubernetes), Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Table Storage, Key Vault, Managed Identity, Azure Functions (isolated worker model), Azure AI Search Experience with CDN cache invalidation (e.g. Akamai FastPurge API) Redis caching strategies Roslyn Analyzers / Code Fix Providers PDF generation libraries Other Requirements Experience working in a client-facing role, interacting with both technical and non-technical stake-holders Experience working in agile, multi-vendor environments Must be fluent in English, written and verbal communications
