As a Senior Project Manager Building & Infrastructure Projects (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the management of demanding technical building, infrastructure, laboratory and production-related projects within Group Real Estate Management - Engineering. You will ensure structured preparation, professional management and successful implementation across all project phases. In this key role, you will combine technical understanding, project management expertise and stakeholder orientation in an international and regulated environment. Your Responsibilities Managing technically oriented building, infrastructure, laboratory and production-related projects as owner’s representative from requirements clarification to handoverCompilation and clarification of project requirements from business units, location organisations, transaction management, facility management and strategic real estate requirements in a structured mannerBuild resilient project set-ups with scope, budget, schedule, roles, responsibilities, decision-making paths, escalation paths, and reporting logicProfessionally manage projects through approval, planning, procurement, construction, commissioning support and handoverCoordinating and managing architects, specialist planners, engineering service providers, project managers, construction partners, general contractors and technical specialistsEnsure costs, deadlines, quality, scope, compliance, technical functionality, sustainability and operator requirementsEstablish and maintain schedules, budget and forecast structures, risk and opportunity registers as well as change management as central project control instrumentsPrepare status reports, management updates, steering committee documents as well as decision and escalation templatesEnsure orderly mechanical completion, acceptance, claims management, commissioning, documentation and operator handoverFurther develop standards, methods, templates, quality gates and lessons learned for Building & Infrastructure Projects Your Qualifications Master’s degree in the field of process engineering, civil engineering, architecture, building technology or a comparable qualificationAt least ten years of experience in project management of technical projects, ideally in pharmaceutical, R&D, life science, building infrastructure or comparable regulated environmentsStrong experience as an owner's representative or client-side project managerVery good understanding of approval planning, design & construction, commissioning and handover processes in regulated GxP areasSolid competence in cost, deadline, risk, claim and change managementBroad understanding of technical building equipment, infrastructure, user requirements and operabilityExperience in managing external planners, engineering companies, consultants, construction partners and technical service providersStrong management competence for complex interfaces between business, sites, operating organisations, engineering, facility management, HSE, IT and external project partnersExperience in international or matrix-oriented organisations as well as a structured, independent and solution-oriented way of working; combined with the willingness to actively shape the development, professionalisation and further development of GREM-EngineeringVery good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken Why This Role Is Exciting In this position, you will actively shape challenging Building & Infrastructure Projects on the Group side and represent Fresenius' interests vis-à-vis internal stakeholders, external project partners, service providers, landlords, authorities, and experts.
