The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Development Engineer (Associate, Experienced, or Senior Level) to join the B-52 Software Blocks (BSB) team located in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. The software block process focuses on performing corrective, adaptive, and perfective maintenance on fielded B-52 software. Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Experienced and Senior Level Engineers. Position Responsibilities: Designs, develops, tests, and maintains non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standardsDevelop and maintain code, integrating software components into a fully functional systemCollaborate on software verification plans, test procedures, and test environmentsExecute test procedures and document results to ensure software system requirements are metReviews, analyzes, and translates customer requirements into initial design of software productsDevelops, maintains, enhances and optimizes software products and functionalities for systems integrationsDevelops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products Debugs and resolves issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software productsHandles user inquiries, troubleshoots technical issues and user feedback analysis Implements current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development Develops, establishes, monitors and improves software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarksExecutes and documents software research and development projectsAdvises on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulationsPerforms software project management activities and software supplier management functionsTracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s DegreeAbility to Obtain U.S. Secret – Interim Pre-Start & Final Post Start (U.S. Citizenship required)5+ years of experience in software development utilizing Java, C++, or Ada 96.5+ years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying software programs.5+ years of experience writing and testing software.
