Senior Frontend Engineer

Referment is working with a well-funded AI technology company building next-generation software that combines human decision-making with intelligent AI agents. The business is developing enterprise software that automates complex operational workflows for some of the world's largest organisations. As they continue to scale, they're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to play a leading role in shaping both the product experience and frontend architecture. This is a highly visible role with significant ownership across product development, technical direction and engineering standards. The Role You'll Be Responsible For Building and owning high-quality user-facing product experiences from concept through to production.Designing and implementing complex frontend applications using React and TypeScript.Helping define and evolve frontend architecture as the platform scales.Driving engineering best practices around performance, testing, maintainability and code quality.Working closely with Product and Design to simplify complex workflows and create intuitive user experiences.Contributing to technical decision-making and influencing the future direction of the platform.Working directly with users to understand challenges and continuously improve the product.Collaborating across engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable software. What We're Looking For You'll ideally have: 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.Significant experience building complex frontend applications.Deep expertise in React and TypeScript.Strong frontend architecture and system-design experience.Experience improving engineering standards and technical practices within a growing team.A product-focused mindset with strong communication skills.Experience working in fast-moving startup or scale-up environments.The ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and ownership. Particularly Interesting Backgrounds Include AI-native products or LLM-powered applications.Complex workflow or enterprise software.Data-rich products and visualisation platforms.Design systems and frontend platform ownership.Full-stack exposure, particularly with Python Why Join?
