Job Title: Principal Engineer – Electrical Engineering (Power) x 3 Location: Barrow-in-Furness or Filton (Hybrid) Duration : 12 months Rate : £80 - £85 per hour (Inside IR35) What You Will Be Doing : Working within the Electrical Engineering Power Team on next-generation submarine programmes (such as the UK's next-gen SSN design), your responsibilities include: Developing design solutions meeting time, cost, and quality targets.Producing documentation such as diagrams, technical specifications, and supporting calculations for design reviews. Essential Skills & Requirements: Qualifications: BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalent, alongside Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or the ability to meet CEng requirements.Experience & Technical Focus: Demonstrable engineering lifecycle experience with a strong foundation in AC/DC power systems, power architectures, generation, distribution, and monitoring.Specialised Knowledge: Proficiency in areas such as power system modelling, generators, switchgear, protection, or power electronics
