Senior AWS DevOps Engineer (SFIA 5) | SC Cleared | UK (London / Manchester Pref.)| Up to £85K Looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer who can do more than just build - someone who can lead, make decisions, and own it? We have an opening for a SFIA Level 5 Senior Engineer to take technical ownership of secure AWS cloud delivery for complex, regulated clients - primarily public sector. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone comfortable making engineering decisions, engaging directly with clients, and supporting other engineers. Key Skills: Strong AWS engineering - deep hands-on across compute, networking, identity, security & containersTerraform / IaC - building repeatable, compliant, scalable infrastructure at scaleCI/CD using GitLab or GitHub - designing secure, automated pipelinesKubernetes / EKS / ECS - deploying and operating containerised workloadsAutomation & Scripting with Python, Bash or PowerShellDevSecOps & Cloud Security - security-by-design, OWASP principles, embedding security throughout the lifecycle At SFIA 5, you will be expected to: Provide technical leadership and set engineering standards & best practicesMake key engineering decisions within multidisciplinary teamsEngage directly with clients to understand requirements and communicate technical decisionsMentor and support other engineers, driving continuous improvement You will also have: Strong troubleshooting across complex cloud environmentsExperience with monitoring, observability, logging & alertingAgile delivery experienceSC clearance highly desirable - must be eligible to obtain and maintain SC Package includes private medical (Vitality), discretionary bonus, 25 days + birthday + anniversary + bank holidays, EV scheme, pension + real investment in training & certs.
