About 3DMorphic 3DMorphic was founded in 2015 to translate the latest scientific research into innovative designs that improve patient outcomes. We design, manufacture and deliver patient-specific implants across Australia, combining engineering, software, and manufacturing under one roof. We're looking for a motivated and reliable Software Engineer to take over and grow our in-house software systems. If you are self-motivated, have excellent problem-solving skills, and are genuinely excited about the work you do, this position is for you. About the Role You'll design, develop, and maintain all 3DMorphic software systems, from internal design and visualisation programs to file automation and IT infrastructure. Day-to-day, this includes: Implementing and designing new algorithms and features requested by the team, in existing software or new projectsIncorporating and designing machine learning models in programs. Troubleshooting and resolving technical coding issues that are blocking the team's workflows.Maintaining healthy CD/CI practices (Git) across the team, and supporting coworkers with commits, pushes, reverts and reviews.Basic website development and maintenance. This role suits someone who thrives with a high degree of independence, communicates proactively, and takes feedback well. Key Responsibilities File automation software.Internal 3D design software.Planning and CT visualisation software.Additional internal automation tools to speed up day-to-day tasks.Implement and maintain secure backup systems in line with medical device regulations.Verification/Validation testing and documentation of internal software in line with medical device regulations. Technical Skills Programming (intermediate level): Python, C++, Javascript + htmlPlatforms (intermediate level): Windows, Android app deployment, Docker & Linux WSL for Windows, AWS. UI/UX (intermediate level): Ability to design efficient, accessible interfaces.Networking: Comfortable with solving network connection issues and reconnecting physical relay elements. Hardware: Knowledge of computer parts and service pricing, physical networking, and sourcing.Experience with verification and validation of internally developed software.Experience with NAS network storage systems. Who We're Looking For Full-stack engineering capability. Excellent written communication, documentation skills, task prioritisation and time management.A proactive individual who works effectively both independently and within a team.Strong problem-solving skills and an agile mindset.Flexible and adaptable to changing production needs and schedules, without compromising quality.Curious and investigative, with an ability to analyse and understand process dynamics.Knowledge of QMS processes (ISO 13485) highly regarded but not essential. Interest or experience in healthcare, digital health, or medical technology.Relevant technical qualification (e.g. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent), additional knowledge of machine learning preferred. Experience 1+ years' experience developing, testing, and debugging software applications, or demonstrated knowledge equivalent to this level of industry experience (eg, maintaining open source GIT projects/libraries).
