Embedded Firmware Engineer | $50K-$80K AUD | Perth, Australia Working with a global IoT and asset tracking business, building robust, scalable hardware products used across multiple industries. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer to get hands-on across the full product lifecycle, working closely with hardware and production teams. Ideal background: 0–2 years experience in embedded firmware development (or strong academic projects)Strong experience with C / C++ in embedded environmentsExposure to microcontrollers (ARM, STM32 or similar)Understanding of communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN)Experience debugging on hardware (JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analysers)Basic understanding of electronics and schematic readingExposure to RTOS or real-time systems (nice to have)Familiarity with Git or version controlSome experience with Python or C# is a bonusDegree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or similar What you’ll be doing: Designing and developing embedded firmware for IoT hardware productsSupporting the full product lifecycle from concept through to productionWorking closely with hardware, testing, and production teamsDebugging and optimising firmware performance and reliabilitySupporting manufacturing and field teams with technical issuesContributing to firmware architecture and system design decisionsWriting clean, scalable, and maintainable code Why this role: Exposure to full end-to-end product developmentStrong collaboration across hardware and software teamsOpportunity to grow into a more senior embedded/firmware positionWork on real-world, deployed IoT products at scale If interested, please apply or reach out directly.
