Description

We're looking for an Adelaide-based Senior Web Developer with significant expertise who can bring a fresh perspective to our team. This is a dynamic, varied role covering web apps, API integrations and HubSpot-related products, plus development projects across WordPress, HubSpot Content Hub and Shopify. What level of experience do you need? You'll have 5+ years of industry experience under your belt. You'll have strong skills in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, PHP, and GitHub. You'll also bring strong server and database management experience, along with experience managing Cloudflare, Google Cloud or AWS cloud infrastructure and serverless platforms. We want a modern web developer who actively uses AI tools like Claude Code, Codex and/or Cursor to work more efficiently and effectively. What will you be doing?Your purpose is to lead development work that brings our clients’ visions to life online. Working directly with them on your own projects, you’ll help them grow their organisations by increasing sales, donations, leads and customers. You'll care about the user experience as much as the code itself, how people actually interact with what you build, so we can keep driving the best possible performance and conversion rates for our clients. You'll work on a variety of projects from day one, ranging from simple websites through to complex web apps and API integration projects, and you'll be involved in the design phase, giving input and feedback to ensure designs are technically feasible and meet accessibility guidelines. You'll take the lead on technical design, implementation, deployment and maintenance across our platforms, including building and maintaining custom plugins and complex integrations. Refuel Creative is a team environment, and that's one of our core values. You'll work closely with our clients and our team to develop products that connect with their audiences, and collaborate with our remote Web Developers to deliver consistently high-quality outcomes. As our in-house Senior Web Developer, you'll also get the opportunity to work on a range of internal projects and help shape Refuel's own look and feel for the future. The work spans a range of mediums, such as web, mobile apps, serverless code, integrations, products and more, so there's genuine room to keep stretching your skills. You'll provide guidance and mentorship to other developers as we grow our team, write and maintain clear technical documentation, identify opportunities to grow our web development services and develop related products, and use your design sense to keep our websites accessible, user-friendly and industry-leading. Key projects for this role include: Building websites and themes in HubSpot and WordPressA range of API integration projects between HubSpot and third-party systemsA range of HubSpot related design and development projects, including work on our own HubSpot Marketplace themes and products A bit about Refuel…We're not your typical agency.
