Front-End Developer | 12-Month Contract | LA County, CA
[Please read entire post before applying] RED Global is seeking a Front-End Developer for a long-term contract supporting a large-scale, mission-critical public sector technology environment in Los Angeles County.
This consultant will join an established Agile delivery team responsible for the ongoing maintenance, production support, and enhancement of a criminal justice records system.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on front-end development experience, be comfortable working within an existing enterprise application environment, and be able to collaborate effectively with senior developers and technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and enhance front-end application functionality
• Support production applications and troubleshoot front-end issues
• Develop responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks
• Work with CSS frameworks to create consistent, maintainable interfaces
• Collaborate with developers and technical team members within an Agile environment
• Participate in application enhancements, defect resolution, testing, and ongoing support
• Follow established development, security, and documentation standards
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of professional front-end development experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Angular, React, and/or Vue.js
• 3+ years of JavaScript experience
• 3+ years working with CSS and front-end styling
• Experience with a CSS framework such as Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS
• Experience supporting and enhancing production applications
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an established technical delivery team
Nice to Have
• jQuery experience
• C and/or Pro*C exposure
• Previous experience supporting criminal justice, law enforcement, public safety, or government technology systems
• Previous CJIS-regulated environment experience
Location
Candidates should reside in Los Angeles County or the immediate LA County area and must be able to work onsite within LA County when required.
The final onsite/hybrid schedule is still being determined, so candidates must have flexibility to support an onsite presence.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
• Must be willing and able to successfully complete a California DOJ fingerprint-based background investigation, including applicable state, local, and federal-level review
• Must be willing to be fingerprinted and sign the CJIS Security Addendum
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background/security clearance procedures
Contract: 12 months
Start: Mid/Late September 2026
