Highlights

Opportunity to work on production-grade AI systems for critical infrastructure, with significant ownership and exposure to challenging problems across AI, data, and energy technology.

Description

Senpilot builds AI agents that help utilities operate smarter, faster, and more reliably, automating everything from engineering workflows to regulatory filings and compliance. Our mission is to create the intelligence layer for the modern grid: AI systems that understand utility data, reason across it, and act autonomously to improve safety, resilience, and efficiency. We are building production-grade intelligence that sits at the heart of how critical infrastructure is planned, monitored, and regulated, helping utilities unlock the next generation of reliability. Joining Senpilot means joining a small, high-performance team that combines deep expertise in AI systems, data engineering, and energy infrastructure. We focus on generating value and we run toward the hard problems because that's where the value is. If you want to join a fast-growing team and help build the future of intelligent infrastructure, this is the place to do it. The role We are looking for a Technical Product Manager for Senpilot’s Regulatory AI Agent (a sort of “Harvey for energy regulatory work”). Regulatory filings are the foundation for how the grid and other energy infrastructure gets built. We have built a database of 10M+ historical filings and a best-in-class intelligence layer to help regulatory teams operate more efficiently and strategically. You will report to the CTO and own the technical execution around the Regulatory AI Agent day-to-day: turn strategic priorities into a near-term roadmap, leverage analytics from an exponentially growing user base to surface business insights, partner with users (utilities, consultants, lawyers, regulators, etc.) and internal subject matter experts (SMEs), and ship fast with engineering teams. We are an AI-native company and expect you to be too. AI isn't just what we ship, it's how we work. This is a doer role with a strong technical depth: you will write specs, but you will also prototype, often vibe coding a rough version with AI tools before it reaches the engineering team’s desks. What You'll Do Work with leadership and internal regulatory SMEs to shape the product roadmap, and turn longer-term strategic and product objectives into near-term deliverablesTranslate ambiguous business problems into well-scoped engineering problems that engineering teams can actually build againstEnsure the engineering team is prioritizing correctly day-to-day, balancing urgent customer needs and longer-term milestones through structured, executable ticketsOwn customer activation and go deep on product analytics: figure out why features are not landing with users and fix itDefault to rapid build-measure-learn loops to ship a prototype, get real user signal, and iterate fast rather than waiting on the next sprintPrototype hands-on (Claude, Cursor, whatever works) to de-risk before buildingWork in tight loops with our designer, from concept to polished user flowKeep engineering and design coordinated: specs, mocks, and tickets in sync and movingUse AI tools in your own workflow to optimize output What You’ll Bring 3+ years of product management experience, ideally B2B/enterprise SaaS. Prior hands-on experience as a software engineer is a major plusComfortable going deep on an incredibly complex regulated domain; Regulatory/energy experience will be a plusHands-on fluency with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, or similar), enough to ship a working prototype yourself, not just describe oneA track record of running tight, high-trust loops with design and engineering on small, lean teamsBias to action: scrappy v1 over perfect PRDSuperb communicator and ability to collaborate with multiples teams Low-ego approach to working with design and engineering Work Location We Appreciate the flexibility of hybrid work, and we also value the energy that comes from being in the same room. Our team gathers at our office in downtown Toronto up to three times a month. If you're able to join us in person on those days, we'd love to hear from you. What Is In For You Competitive Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this role in Canada is $120,000 CAD - $160,000 CAD with most new hires joining near the midpoint. Actual salaries may vary within the range, or above or below it, based on factors such as experience, skills, location, and business needs.EquityComprehensive health benefits from day one, for you and your dependentsTime Off: 20 vacation days + 5 flex days around EOY holidays AI at Senpilot AI is embedded in how we work, and we encourage our team to lean on it to learn new skills, sharpen their craft, and put their energy toward the work that genuinely moves the needle. That extends to how we hire. We bring AI into our recruitment process not to take the humanity out of it, but to keep things organized and smooth so the experience feels more personal, not less. It gives our team room to focus on the parts that count: genuine conversations and well thought decisions. Above all, every decision is made by real people, drawing on genuine understanding, and rooted in our values and culture. Senpilot is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive and diverse workforce. Accommodations are available upon request during the recruitment process.
