Role Description The Full-Stack Engineer at Toppers Connect will design, develop, and maintain web applications that power the mentorship platform, ensuring reliable and scalable performance.
On a day-to-day basis, this role will involve implementing front-end user interfaces, building and integrating back-end services and APIs, optimizing application responsiveness, and collaborating with product, design, and mentorship teams to deliver new features.
The engineer will also troubleshoot issues, perform code reviews, maintain documentation, and contribute to improving development workflows and code quality.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Remote, OR, requiring close collaboration with colleagues to support the platform’s growth and user experience.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Full-Stack Development and Software Development, with experience building and deploying web applications end-to-end.Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful API design, server-side frameworks, and database integration.Solid skills in Front-End Development, including modern JavaScript frameworks and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for responsive, accessible interfaces.Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices, including code reviews and CI/CD pipelines.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Ability to write clean, maintainable code, debug complex issues, and optimize application performance.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to working in cross-functional product teams.Experience with education, mentoring, or EdTech platforms is a plus, as well as familiarity with security best practices and cloud-based deployment environments.
