Location Tech Hubs: Madrid, Spain OR Fuengirola, Malaga (Flexible Hybrid) Reports: Engineering Manager Role Overview The seasoned expert is responsible for developing clean, scalable C# .NET Core solutions that support the safety and protection of our customers’ homes. You will contribute to high-quality architecture, performance, and code reusability while staying updated on modern development practices. The role includes writing unit and integration tests, solving complex technical challenges, and collaborating closely with product owners, architects, and developers. You will also support and mentor junior team members to strengthen the overall development team. Team Overview Keep customers informed about their connected home or business. Our Team builds and maintains the experiences that turn data from connected devices into useful information for our customers We work across key areas such as: Climate Insights, App history & notifications, Video Alarm & Services, Device Health and Information, transforming sensor and device data into meaningful, real-time experiences that help customers understand what`s happening in their home or business. Main Responsibilities Strengthen and support the development team, building software that helps to protect the lives and homes of our customers. Write clean, scalable code using C# .NET Core. Write code and develop according to business and user needs. Evaluate new code for reliable architecture, stability, reusability, performance, automation, security and metrics. Remain up to date with the terminology, concepts, and best practices for coding. Write unit and integration tests to cover functionality and reduce regressions. Mentor junior developers and new team members Coordinate with product owners, developers and architects.Solve complex development problems and technical challenges through innovative approaches and problem solving. Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field (Computer Sciences, Information, Computer Engineering) Requirements 8+ yrs of experience as a Backend Developer and involved in technical decisions (Seniors) Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core. Thorough experience with microservices and APIs (REST and event-based architectures). Azure experience with managing Web APIs, containers, and web applications. Comfortable with Agile methodologies. Experience with SQL and no SQL. Skilled in automation and integration testing. Fast ability to learn new systems and software value chains. Excellent verbal and written English skills.Team worker and collaborative A valid work permit in the EU. Nice-to-have  Experience with Azure ecosystem, Service Bus, SQL/NoSQL data stores. DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).  Event-driven architectures and domain-driven design.
