Overview The Cloud Engineer plays a critical role in driving all infrastructure initiatives within Engineering, directly influencing how we deploy, monitor, and maintain software systems in production. In this position, you will partner closely with application teams to shape system architecture and ensure seamless execution. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to influence a major transformation to modernize and build principles and discipline into an established tech stack including both microservices and high-throughput, transactional systems, while contributing meaningfully to the long-term success of the organization. While We Are Looking For Strong Engineers That Are Capable Of Learning Any System, We Will Prioritize Candidates Who Are Already Familiar With The Some Of The Following Technologies Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Terragrunt, ArgoCD, Helm, KustomizeObservability tooling: Grafana, OpenTelemetry, PagerDutyCluster services: Kubernetes, NomadOther tools: Vault, Consul, Puppet, GitHub ActionsDatabases: AeroSpike, RDS MySQL/PostgresData streaming: Kafka/RedPanda, Kafka ConnectData processing: Spark, dbt, Databricks, Snowflake, Fivetran, AWS EMR1+ scripting language such as Python or bash1+ general purpose, compiled language such as Java or GolangAmazon Web Services Responsibilities Build tools that make every engineer more productive and enables self-service;Develop a unified system for monitor, logging and error handling;Improve our infrastructure and deployment processes;Work with each team to optimize their application performance;Search for industry best practices and use them to drive our team forward.Work with teams to optimize and reduce cloud costs; Education & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or comparable industry experience3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or developer in the pastExcellent understanding of common data structures and algorithmsUnderstanding of cloud technologies like EC2, RDS, S3Enjoys programming and automating repetitive workStrives for continued learning opportunities to build upon craftExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work quickly and independently with minimal oversightAbility to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasksAble and willing to serve in an on-call rotation for the systems they buildDesire to accept feedback and constructive criticismStrong and demonstrable work ethic US Jobs: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the TripleLift US salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of TripleLift’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include bonuses, an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
