Description

Role Description The Cloud Engineer (Entry / Junior Level) will support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure that powers La Pizarra’s virtual art platform. This full-time remote role involves assisting in configuring and monitoring cloud environments, setting up secure and scalable infrastructure, and collaborating with developers to optimize application performance and reliability. Daily tasks include managing Linux-based systems, working with databases, implementing basic automation scripts, and helping troubleshoot performance, security, and availability issues. The Cloud Engineer will also contribute to documentation, follow best practices for backup and disaster recovery, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a stable and efficient technical environment for artists and users. Qualifications Cloud and infrastructure skills: Cloud Computing and Infrastructure experience with at least one major cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).Systems and platform skills: Proficiency with Linux-based operating systems and basic system administration tasks.Data and storage skills: Familiarity with Databases (SQL or NoSQL), including basic design, queries, and maintenance.Development and automation skills: Fundamental Software Development skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar) for scripting, tooling, and automation.Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.Additional qualifications: Understanding of networking basics, security best practices, CI/CD concepts, and version control systems (e.g., Git).Professional attributes: Strong problem-solving abilities, willingness to learn, effective communication in a remote environment, and interest in art and culture is a plus.
