About Blitzit
Blitzit Plan Manager is a growing Australian NDIS Plan Management provider supporting thousands of participants nationwide.
We have an experienced internal team and are currently investing heavily in building and expanding our own technology platform.
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing internal development team and work directly on the systems that power our business.
About the Role
This is a full-time Software Engineer position based in Windsor, NSW.
You’ll work alongside our existing developers to continue developing, improving and scaling Blitzit’s internal software platform, including our staff system, participant and provider portals, mobile applications, integrations and automated processing systems.
This is a hands-on development role where you’ll have the opportunity to work across existing systems as well as new features and projects.
You’ll also work closely with our operations team, giving you direct insight into how the software is used and the problems we’re trying to solve.
What You’ll Be Working On
Developing and maintaining web applications, APIs and backend servicesBuilding new features across our internal platform and external portalsWorking with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js and ReactDeveloping and maintaining systems hosted within AWSWorking with AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB and SQSBuilding and maintaining third-party integrations and APIsImproving system performance, reliability, security and scalabilityTroubleshooting and resolving technical issuesReviewing and improving existing codeWorking with other developers on architecture and technical decisionsHelping automate business processes and reduce manual administrative work
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
Has 5+ years of commercial software development experienceHas strong JavaScript/TypeScript experienceHas experience with Node.js and ReactHas experience developing and consuming REST APIsIs comfortable working with AWS or similar cloud infrastructureUnderstands databases, application architecture and scalable software developmentCan confidently work within an existing codebaseIs comfortable troubleshooting and solving problems independentlyCommunicates well and enjoys working collaboratively with both technical and non-technical team members
Experience with AWS serverless architecture, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, CI/CD, application security or high-volume transactional systems would be highly regarded.
