Senior Software Engineer – Permanent & Full Time Remote in Italy I’m working with an exciting international technology company that is expanding its engineering team in Ticino and looking for a Senior Software Engineer. This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who enjoys distributed systems, architecture, and technical leadership. What you’ll be doing Lead the design and evolution of large-scale distributed systemsDrive architecture decisions around scalability, performance, and maintainabilityOwn cross-team technical initiatives and influence engineering directionMentor engineers and raise standards around design, code quality, and operational excellenceDrive best practices across software design, testing, and observabilityTake ownership of critical features and services from concept through production What you bring Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or extensive equivalent professional experienceExtensive experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems, strong software engineering backgroundStrong experience with Golang, C++ or RubyStrong knowledge of system design, algorithms and data structuresExperience with modern backend architectures, APIs and service-oriented systemsStrong automated testing experience, including TDD, BDD and integration testingJavaScript/TypeScript and React experience is a plusFluent English; Italian is a plus This role can be offered on a fully remote basis from Italy, so previous experience working successfully in a remote environment is required.
