Job Description This position is fully based in Montreal. We are actively seeking candidates currently located in Europe who are open to relocating to Canada. We are looking for a Safety Engineer for Advanced Vehicle systems to support the design, analysis, and validation of safety-critical automotive features. The role focuses on ensuring functional safety and system robustness for advanced vehicle subsystems (ADAS, E/E architecture, actuators, sensors). Responsibilities : Conduct functional safety analyses (FMEA, STPA, SOTIF) for advanced vehicle systems. Support system design verification and validation activities to ensure safety compliance. Collaborate with software, electrical and vehicle subsystem teams to integrate safety requirements. Develop and maintain safety documentation: requirements, hazard analyses, verification evidence. Identify and mitigate potential failure modes in advanced vehicle components. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Experience with functional safety in automotive systems (ISO 26262, ISO 21448). Familiarity with ADAS or advanced vehicle subsystems. Practical knowledge of FMEA, STPA, or SOTIF methods. Strong communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
