Description

Technical Product Analyst Full-time | Hybrid – London (Bermondsey Street), 3 days per week About the role We're looking for a Technical Product Analyst to join the Product team at Wex Photo Video and play an important role in how we develop our ecommerce platform and digital customer experience. Reporting to the Head of Product, you'll work closely with Product, UX, CRO and Engineering to understand customer and business problems, support product discovery and turn validated opportunities into well-defined, development-ready requirements. This is more than a traditional requirements-gathering role. We're looking for someone who is curious about how customers behave, what the data tells us and which problems are worth solving, while also being excellent at translating those opportunities into clear requirements for Engineering. What you'll be doing You'll work across three key areas: Evidence & opportunity Use customer insight, behavioural analytics and business data to help identify and validate opportunities.Analyse key ecommerce journeys to understand customer behaviour and friction.Challenge assumptions and help separate genuine customer problems from proposed solutions.Work with Product, UX and CRO to define problems, hypotheses and measures of success.Connect customer opportunities to commercial objectives and business priorities. Product definition Support discovery with evidence, market insight and business context.Translate validated opportunities into clear product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.Define business rules, process flows, edge cases and exception scenarios.Work closely with UX and Engineering to understand experience requirements, technical constraints and dependencies.Keep requirements focused on the intended customer and business outcome. Delivery readiness Ensure work is clearly defined and ready before entering development.Maintain high-quality stories, acceptance criteria and backlog readiness.Work closely with Engineering throughout delivery — not simply hand requirements over.Provide context and clarify requirements as questions and new information emerge.Support UAT and help ensure delivered functionality remains aligned with the original problem and intended outcome. What we're looking for You'll probably have experience as a Technical Product Analyst, Product Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or similar within ecommerce or digital products. You'll be comfortable working between Product and Engineering and able to turn complex problems into clear, actionable requirements. We're particularly interested in people who have: Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria and business rules. An analytical and curious approach to solving problems.Experience supporting product discovery and working closely with UX.A good understanding of ecommerce and digital customer journeys.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience working with Agile Engineering teams. The confidence to challenge assumptions using evidence and customer insight. Experience with GA4, behavioural analytics tools such as FullStory or Noibu, experimentation, APIs/integrations, Jira or Confluence would be useful, but you don't need to tick every box. We're also interested in how people are using AI tools to support research, analysis and documentation. How you'll work You'll report to the Head of Product and work particularly closely with our Senior UX Designer, CRO Manager and Head of Engineering, as well as our UI Designer, developers and teams across the wider business. We're building out our Product capability at Wex, so this is an opportunity to help shape not only the products and experiences we deliver, but how we work as a Product team.
