Senior Database Engineer (Oracle)

Position Description We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer to support vulnerability remediation, patching, deployment, and operational activities across application and database platforms. This role is remote within Poland, with the option to work from CGI offices in multiple cities across the country. Job responsibilities: Support Linux infrastructure within a Data Center Migration Program. Build, configure and maintain Linux server environments. Support application migrations, testing and production readiness. Troubleshoot infrastructure, performance and connectivity issues. Work closely with Application, Middleware and Project Management teams. Automate operational tasks using Ansible and Rundeck. Maintain technical documentation in Confluence. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: 3–5 years of relevant experience in database administration, engineering, or infrastructure support. Good understanding of at least one database technology: Oracle (Oracle 19c+, Exadata Cloud@Customer / ExaCC, Grid Infrastructure), Microsoft SQL Server, or Sybase. Hands-on experience with OPatch and OPatchAuto. Experience working with database management and administration consoles. Familiarity with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters), Oracle Data Guard, and Linux/Unix administration. Experience with database patching, vulnerability remediation, and production environments. Communicative English (minimum B2 level). Fluent Polish (C2 level). Senior Database Engineer (Oracle) Job Description Szukamy doświadczonego Database Engineera, który wesprze działania związane z usuwaniem podatności, patchowaniem, wdrożeniami oraz utrzymaniem środowisk bazodanowych i aplikacyjnych. Ta rola jest realizowana zdalnie na terenie Polski z możliwością pracy z biura CGI w wielu miastach w Polsce. Do Twoich obowiązków będzie należało: Analiza zgłoszonych podatności oraz przygotowywanie planów ich usunięcia. Realizacja działań związanych z usuwaniem podatności oraz walidacja poprawek we wszystkich środowiskach. Wykonywanie patchowania i prac utrzymaniowych w środowiskach bazodanowych. Wsparcie wdrożeń oraz działań operacyjnych na platformach aplikacyjnych. Współpraca z zespołami infrastruktury, aplikacji oraz security w celu zapewnienia bezpieczeństwa, stabilności i zgodności środowisk. Idealnie abyś posiadał/a: Bardzo dobra znajomość administracji systemami Linux, najlepiej RHEL i Oracle Linux. 3–5 lat doświadczenia w obszarze administracji bazami danych, inżynierii bazodanowej lub wsparcia infrastruktury. Dobra znajomość co najmniej jednej technologii bazodanowej: Oracle (Oracle 19c+, Exadata Cloud@Customer / ExaCC, Grid Infrastructure), Microsoft SQL Server lub Sybase. Praktyczne doświadczenie z OPatch i OPatchAuto. Doświadczenie w pracy z konsolami do zarządzania i administracji bazami danych.
