Project description
The OCR is part of Shared Application Services (SAS) which provides robust, scalable solutions within Deutsche Bank and its departments, acting as the bridge between the Bank’s businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.
You will be joining the smartFIX OCR team, analysing, building and delivering software capabilities related to the bank’s OCR needed demands.
You will be in a cross-functional team building the functionality on the OCR platform.
Additionally you will also have the chance to work with new Google-related technologies as part of the dbTextract project, where you will use Java and Google DocAI, one of the newest technologies in the OCR area.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain SPL programs, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database packages.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries to ensure high performance and scalability.
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve database-related issues in development, testing, and production environments.
Perform database performance tuning and query optimization.
Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and support procedures.
Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, and Database Administrators to deliver high-quality solutions.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
Support data migration, integration, and reporting initiatives.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the development team.
Skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in database development and SQL programming.
Strong hands-on experience with SPL, SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and database functions.
Experience working with relational database systems such as IBM Informix, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of database design principles, normalization, and data modeling.
Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English;
Self motivated individual who can have technology and product vision and communicate and articulate it to business stakeholders
Developer who has proven his tech abilities and can motivate Engineers in the team
